happy heart day for yesterday!

i had a roller coaster ride of a day ~ i had my annual mammogram {my mum had breast cancer at 32} in the morning, which i passed. a huge build up of stress/anxiety followed by the relief of good news ~ it's very grounding! and kind of ironic, in a good way, to go through this on valentines day . . . a quiet, inner celebration of being in the here and now with my loved ones!

we also watched 'the kids are all right' which was really great. have you seen it?

these prints are what i spent most of my working time on over the last couple of weeks. you may remember the bottom one from a while back. this version has the yellow paper reflection/fuzz taken away ~ which lets the colours speak more clearly, in their kind of soft way! i wanted to make 'digitally coloured' work without taking away from the original pencil drawing.

i was so excited to find this package in the mailbox when we got home on sunday. i won this beautiful print {top} and this super stylish original drawing {bottom} by nancy / prettylittlethieves. the giveaway was held by sorcha / dandelion daydreamer.

to celebrate post #100 i am giving away this mixed media piece. i really never thought i'd be a blogger, but here i am! i can't see myself without it :)
it motivates me to get work done and in a funny way helps me juggle life and work. my work time allowances have been pretty patchy and unpredictable so far. this year tho i will have a little more time during the week and will make the most of it!
