creative space . getting ready

i've been carrying ideas around in my bag this week ~ on little pieces of paper that i've nicked from my 2 year old's sketch book! we sit and draw together most mornings over coffee after the school drop off.
things are crazy/rushed this week~ there are many things to get done before we go away for 2 weeks on saturday. i'm trying not to let this overtake my creating time, but you know how it goes. . .
i'm also putting together some prints for a real life shop, which is very exciting!

creative space . blue

today's space included a quick {piggyback} trip to kinder then school then back to kinder + home again ~ my son is doing his school orientation!

so only a little time at the desk for these beginnings . . . i'm hooked on this type of blue at the moment ~ i used to avoid it, but now i'm quite interested in how it works with orange, lime and chalky 50s greens! i especially like it when it colours hills and leaves . . .

the wood pieces are going to be mini paintings. i'm thinking of ways to attach them to walls ~ i could have given them to my dad to take home and drill holes at the top, but things got too busy and i didn't! my dad's wife suggested small circles of double sided tape: peel and stick. what do you think? {they are light weight}.
