the light is missing from my space today!! but i've made a start on a few of the new wood panels. i'm still tenting! the tents are such a satisfying form to paint ~ and i'm in need of a holiday, can you tell?
i've made some thankyou prints with this 'honeymoon suite' tent painting to go with the orders from the birthday sale.

love the tents and completely understand what it's like to be stuck on a subject. i know why i'm stuck on my subject (houses) but am wondering if you are craving the great outdoors or maybe the idea of "temporary shelter" is interesting or perhaps it is just the shape and form of the triangles???? just curious....

They are just wonderful Belinda! I love the depth of colour you achieve in these pieces - is it a new technique? It's almost watercolour-ish in a rubbed pencil way... Just reading over that and it makes absolutely no sense! Sorry. I can't think of any other way to put it ;) Kx

Oh how lovely! I'm all about tents and forts right now — reminiscing about camping out in the backyard and building hiding places with sheets and bobby pins... :)
