my creative space
after a strange start to the day: the coffee machine broke as i was making my coffee and thinking: i shouldn't be drinking coffee, i wonder if i'd replace this machine if it broke {might help me give it up}. . . never think such things!
came a kind of scattered space: vastly different things pulling me in different directions. . . these paintings needed varnishing {finally put the first coat on}, an early christmas present arrived in the mail {made me think of more christmas presents that need work/buying}, i needed a few extra things from spotlight {bought pip's book and want to make at least 3 things by tomorrow ~ should re-read her advice at the back of the book!!}, orders to pack/post and the hanging system for the little collages to make/test . . . a crazy picture here.
hope your space is serene and creative today :)
pop in to kirsty's.
** thanks to irene for including my print in this gorgeous gift guide ~ with many of my favourite artists :)

I've got that scattered feeling too. I'm so close to wrapping up all my gifting, but it's about bits and pieces now, and feeling like I couldn't possibly be done.
I love the thick boards these are on, I think they look so nice!
Hi Belinda, I chuckled at the coffee story. Amazing! Lovely work. And I love your "Orange Trees" painting/print! Gloria
Lovely colours in thise prints!
so you are enjoying pip's book, is that the new one? I have been lusting after it, it's so gorgeous!
haha, sorry I find it a fun story about your coffee machine!!
and these are busy times at my place too, don't know where to start...
so I do a bit of blog reading ;-)
I have a definite talent for breaking coffee machines... have yet to document my thoughts at time of breaking - added to the to-do list ;) Your new pieces look wonderful - I love that they're on wood. Kx
oh yeh coffee machines have all kinds of effects on us.....he he
Lovely boards use I think it is great =)
beautiful work...lovely colours...
and yes...always another parcel to 'chuck' in the post at this time of year ~~ plus our family have a ridiculous amount of birthdays in December! argh.
those paintings look good :)
I actually did some creating today (although I didn't think to take a photo) so I'm happy.
oh, how paintings on wooden panels make me swoon, every time...especially your pieces!
a funny thing happened w/ me and coffee -- i used to work in a coffee shop, and drank THREE 20 oz cups of espresso roast a day. When I left the coffee shop, I still drank about that much. Then, one day, all of a sudden, I got some coffee, and it tasted terrible. I thought the coffee place just made a funky batch...but I've never been able to drink coffee again...no matter where I get it, I can't savor the taste anymore like how I used to...then I took an allergy test and found out coffee was something I was allergic to!
Funny how the tastebuds work...
Love your work! Beautiful.
I love sewing early in the morning.
Quiet. Sometimes I play soft music.
It's nice to see the space with your pieces in three-dimension. I love them!
I'm amazed at how much of my shopping for and making gifts is already finished. This is the first time I've ever been this far ahead (and probably will be the last time).
Crazy, the universe is telling you not to drink coffee!
Wonderful work! I love these wooden bases!
I know the feeling well. I can't settle and get organised at all at the moment ~ I blame the season.
Love the one in the foreground with the tent...great colors, gives off a happy feeling!
I think I'd die if my coffee machine broke in the morning...I'd be driving down to the corner coffee shop for sure!!
Happy Weekend!
that is super weird about the coffee machine! I think that I shouldn't be drinking it when i make it every morning...so annoying :)
