my creative space ~ re connecting

our phone and internet was disconnected this week . . . you can imagine the disarray! it's a particular kind of disconnected, hands tied behind the back kind of feeling. we've got a temporary solution {no phone} and it's going to be 1000 times better when it's all fixed up, sometime soon. i can see how a break from the internet can be healthy, but only when if/you're ready for it!

. . . mr 3 and i went out in the rain to take garden photos and i put some stitching detail into the almost finished work in the top photo.

hope you're having an inspiring week! pop into kirsty's for more spaces :)

ps thanks so much for all the encouragement re the fabric idea ~ can't wait to start on it xx

I am loving that new piece, especially the bits of yellow added in, and the stitching, of course!

I know what you mean about a healthy internet break and it is great, when you decided upon it, and a bit stressful when you're not ready!
I have an internet break a couple of weeks and I felt like walking blindfolded... It's amazing how we become totally depended on it to communicate and work.

Loving your photos, looking very springy to me :)

I think you used your involuntary break from the internet very well. Your artwork is delicate and fits to the photos below!

Yes, internet troubles are the pits, especially unplanned disconnections. Glad to see your time has been well spent. Love the layers in your work.

Visiting from creative spaces and lovely photos - I am loving the yellow, making me think of Spring. I suppose it can be shocking to be torn away from the internet and certain communications..but I guess you have to make the best of it...vacation!

beautiful pics!
Maybe it is sometimes healthful to be disconnected, but I think so mainly afterwards, when I´m connected again!

Just beautiful - your stitching detail is stunning (I love the colour too).

I know what you mean about a break from the internet being good every once in a while ... but yet, it's much better when you're prepared for it!

I hope you enjoy your weekend.

HI this is so gorgeous! It reminded me of a photo I took near Granada, Spain in 2007. Here's the link on my blog if you'd like to peek - might be inspiring (although I think you have enough inspiration of your own right now ;)) http://jesspurrr.typepad.com/purrr/2007/12/hangin-out-the.html
Thanks for havina a great blog and making gorgeous artworks!
