creative space . blue
today's space included a quick {piggyback} trip to kinder then school then back to kinder + home again ~ my son is doing his school orientation!
so only a little time at the desk for these beginnings . . . i'm hooked on this type of blue at the moment ~ i used to avoid it, but now i'm quite interested in how it works with orange, lime and chalky 50s greens! i especially like it when it colours hills and leaves . . .
the wood pieces are going to be mini paintings. i'm thinking of ways to attach them to walls ~ i could have given them to my dad to take home and drill holes at the top, but things got too busy and i didn't! my dad's wife suggested small circles of double sided tape: peel and stick. what do you think? {they are light weight}.
happy creative spacing today :) visit kirsty for more spaces.
** shop news: i'm participating in black friday to cyber monday sales which will include free ww shippng and a special 'sale' section ~ stay tuned if you are interested. {will be adjusting shipping + prices a day early, just so you know!!}

i think they are beautiful belinda, whimsical, light and fresh!
there are also those little silver hooks at bunnings, they are quite easy to put on too.
i like the new paintings very much but double sided tape can do lots of damage to painted and/or wallpapered walls (i've done it with my own lightweight pieces and regretted it...). love the new color combo.

peel and stick sounds easy but I agree with Beth. I love your palette!
Oooh, I bet your son is sooo excited! I love the blue.
I love that blue. It is so calming and it does work well with the other colours in your palette. Must admit, I prefer the more reliable idea of drilling holes than the will-the-sticky-hold tape option. K
Mmm yes, love the blue, especially with the greens. All the best for starting school, we are about to embark on that too, very exciting!!
very cute! or maybe sheet magnet would work too?
That blue makes me very happy! I dunno about the tape, but there's gotta be some other lightweight option out there, like hooks, perhaps.
Very sweet little ones Belinda- but I would be weary of the double sided-tape too- I have witnessed lots of damage from those things as well- what about the little hooks helena suggests?
Lovely work anyway!
Annamaria :)
thanks for the help in deciding against the tape {+ feedback}! i think i'll take a trip to the hardware shop on the weekend :)
i love the colour combo! can't wait to see the wood pieces, how great a little collection would look on a wall
I especially like the one with the blue hills!
