crochet motifs
i'm calling myself crazy to be crocheting with mohair on a 30+ degree c day! it was 35 today so i stuck to cotton, but i did the mohair and alapacas the other day when it was almost as hot. i guess that's what happens when i'm reading blogs full of inspiring crochet projects and the itch builds up!
the flower pattern is from a rowan book. i started thinking about how i could make different shapes {trickier than i thought} and what possible use i could have for them . . . i don't really need them, and i'm not knitting a bag to stitch them to. i got way ahead of myself with thoughts of how i could make fabric wall-hangings . . . mmm.
it is a fun thing to do in the kids' room while they build + play together ~ i seem to get more and more restless at the thought of building and playing cars these days!
happy tuesday :)

I love them!
They are lovely. I love the colours you've been using...cool colours.
just wondering if there is anything that you can't do?
i love how you always use such beautiful greens (my fav color)

yup ~ cooking, sewing clothes that fit/look good, everything sport-like . . . thanks! :)
It's funny how we find it hard to play as we get older isn't it? I am much happier making something with the kids than playing cars etc. I love your latest crochet piieces, they look so delicate and pretty xo
aww, so lovely and in your favourite colours too. There's something about crochet and the way it looks so delicate.
Those are cute!
very pretty!
Well done Belinda- I love the colours you have used. I started my own crochet -something or other- in the weekend-I am not sure what it will be yet but I just completed my first square last night. Nuts!
Have a lovely day,
Annamaria
very pretty!
Gosh Belinda, you can crochet too, these are lovely, perhaps incorporate them into a mixed media piece? I am so spellbound by crochet, I should just learn but remember my mum trying to teach me to knit, I just couldn't get my head around it, hmmmm! Beautiful colours, remind me of your painting.

Should have said, hello, yes it's me!

I am wowed by what you can make out of a line of yarn. So neat that the shapes in the second picture are often in your work.
I really love these Belinda. I've been thinking about crocheting something similar for brooches... saving it for the xmas hols now I think ;) Good luck with your freeform and finding a place for them - they really are just gorgeous. K
