says our 6 year old son!
. . . 'it used to be tiny, tiny squares but i've put them together with scissors. before it was with glue. i can put things together with scissors which is really cool, coz scissors are mainly for breaking things'.
i love his work and how he talks about his processes!

ha! I know how he feels :) also sounds like one of those zen things to me.
beautiful photograph!
It's amazing when you see someone especially a young one learn something and discover talents.
That's awesome! I love when my daughter refers to time as "thousands of years" or the like. :)
Adorable!
Too cute...Out of the mouthes of babes! :-)
Love it! And his work! My 7 1/2 year old son is super creative and always wants to be doing what I'm doing... so I started a blog for him (that I administer) but he takes all the photos/drawings/etc. and we work together to edit them in photoshop, then he writes his blog post and I publish it. Totally fun. He loves it when people comment on his work. And I'm happy to share my love of blogging/photography/art with him. Maybe your son would like to do something like that with you? I like to think of it as a fun way to keep a record of the great things he makes, says, etc. and hope to turn it into a Blurb book in the future.

If you want to check it out... he'd love it!
Oh, I adore the line 'scissors are mainly for breaking things'. I confess to having felt that way with my handling of scissors at times!
It's great to see these stages of development and know that they are aware of them too.
Thanks for sharing. :)
Oh man, that's the cutest! Sounds like he takes after you, Belinda! :)
Loving the crochet flowers next to his artwork too!
Looooove the discovery and passion in this! Also made me smile - heaps!
