a new tent print

a new one {2 tents} from the tents series . . . it had been sitting for a long while needing something to make it finished. i wondered and wondered, then the time must have been right as it required no thought. i love it when it works like that.

this one was inspired by a camping trip from my late 20s. there were young kids in the tent behind us, not sleeping at all, and wombats circling our tent! they make a loud rustling sounds and i have a soft spot for them, even though they don't smell great.

happy mid-week and thanks again for the inspiring discussion on the last post :)

love that tent.. camping always reminds of me when i was a kid and my parents used to drag me out and we used camp... and we used to catch salamanders.. and swim in the lake. :)

eeee wombats! I like any story that has wombats in it.

this sounds much better than camping trips I went on as a kid which often involved putting food where it wouldn't attract bears :P no, I don't camp any more.

Love the green tones in this one... up the back, is that a bunch of those really unstable camping stools that dump you on the ground at a moment's notice?!? They really remind me of camping when i was small.

Gorgeous! I'd love to be camping in that little picture. Love wombats but the big ones do slightly terrify me as well.
