work in progress
here are a few of the new pieces i've been working on lately. i'm a bit excited about the top one! i cut some pieces out of a photo i printed and stitched around them to make some of the collage elements. i wasn't sure how i was going to use them or if they'd look too out of place. it's acrylic, marker, cotton thread and collage on paper, with pinholes. {clicking takes you to flickr}.
i'm playing with a looser kind of painting with the others! and some chunkier leaves {2nd last pic/sketch}.
happy march + happy autumn {in melbourne at least}! it felt almost like winter today, which i guess is what autumn is about. don't think i'm ready for the cold just yet . . .

They're all great, Belinda, but the top two are very exciting! Loving the experimental parts of the top one especially :) I've been working on some new pen and wash pictures with something very similar in effect but a different process. Very exciting :) Kx
p.s. soooooooo jealous of your autumn-ness - it is unbelievably HOT here in Bris :(
just loving the textures in those top two pieces! the brushwork is amazing - such a light touch. sigh.
Wonderful - feel inspired just looking at them. How exciting - I love progress shots - keep them coming.
I kinda like the first one which I think it is already an art piece by itself :D There is something there but there is something not there that kind of tangling feeling...
I love the way the different shapes and textures relate- particularly in the top two. Fantastic work Belinda! Happy March!X
I like what you're on to with these. Keep going!
They are all lovely ... I love the beautiful colours and the surprising textures and combinations! :D
I'm SO ready for the cold to begin ... it's been horrible and hot in Brisbane for the start to autumn.
