my creative space . cleanup

a clean~up is due in my space!
this is how i've left it while i do my tax {we all know this is the opposite of creative!}, and work on some listings etc. . .
that silly accident i had on the weekend: in my earnest attempts to improve my photography and get some clearer pics of the calendar, i did get into a pretty awkward position {bent over the back of a chair, balancing the camera on the edge to keep it still, facing directly to the ground} and dropped my camera onto the concrete, lens first! it retaliated with this message: lens error :( which i took to mean, lens is never going to go in or out again {seems to be the case}.
so, i'm having a camera~related sale this week! {details here}
i have a lend of a camera in the mean time, but am going to look at getting a beautiful new one :)
any suggestions on which type to go for?

hope you are having a creative time today ~ visit kirsty at kootoyoo for more fun spaces.

** also, big thanku to kylie for this post :)

Oh dear! Sorry to hear about your camera accident and that being said I'm also sorry to hear you are doing your taxes, though it's a necessary evil!

Good luck in finding a new camera. It will be exciting when you buy one! Wish I could offer you advice but I'm afraid I'm not that camera savvy

PS: is it my imagination or do you tidy up your studio a lot (must be all those little dots!)

Bad luck about the camera.
I like those printed canvasses you have lined up against the wall.

oh how sad for you and your camera! i get very attached to mine ...

i have a nikon d40x and love it - i think the d60 has basically taken over my model, but not sure. hoping for a 50mm lens for christmas, yes, yes!

if you have an slr and lenses a suggestion is to buy a digital slr of the same brand - most of the time (check first of course :))) the older lenses will work on the digital slr body.

Oh no, poor camera, I would die if this happened to mine. Hope you find a beautiful new one!

Oh no! I do exactly the same balancing acts so I guess it's just a matter of time...

Oh Belinda, you poor thing! Doing your taxes and having to fork out for a new camera! At least you'll have a stunning new toy to play with :) I'd buy one of those photography mag where they compare the models on offer, though I will say I love Canon products in general! ;) Good luck with your quest! ooh, certainly a camera accident is very bad...I would be a half armed giant without my camera.

I dont know what type you had, but i recommend you to buy an SLR camera. They are more expensive, but does worth the difference! I have a canon 20d: a pro base with amateur lenses, and I am very satisfied with it. So I would say go for a canon, an SLR one.

Oh no! You poor thing, you must have been so upset. My camera is not behaving nicely at the moment but I can't be without it. So instead of sending it off to be fixed while under warranty, I'm making do. Good luck with your decision and also your taxes.

RIP camera... sigh.
Love your stuff as usual.
(PS thread sketching has very little to do with sewing straight! You'd be perfect for it, especially with your fabulous design eye and drawing talents...)

Oh no! Bad news about the camera. Such pretty colors in your space, what consolation that is. ;)
