2 big tasks done, well mostly!

the *fugly* wardrobe on the left used to have an overbearing dark stain on it!

i spent 3.5 days sanding and painting it white! i almost didn't do it, as it's owned by the owner of the house we rent {he wouldn't remove it from the house when we moved in!!}, but i'm glad i did. it's made such a difference to the light and feel of the room. i just need to put some finishing touches on the handles.

the other task i've been meaning to do for ages is start a newsletter for new work/shop updates, sales and giveaways. i'd love for you to sign up {form is in the sidebar}. there'll be a newlsettery prize too :)

It looks great (as does the room ... very clean ... unlike any I've ever lived in).

Congratulations! We did the same to a lovely old vintage wardrobe (plan to put it on the blog soon!) - but the work involved was too much for me so I had it sent to the magic garage at my father's house where things get mysteriously done overnight. We now have another old cupboard like the one you've done and I know I must take responsibility for it myself....

beautiful job! I think it was worth the trouble...but it's easy to say that when I didn't have to do the work :)

I just signed up. Love the work you put into something that you don't own. Well worth it karmically speaking ... and immediately speaking too as you now are surrounded by more beautiful objects d'arte ... mais qui jeune fille! (it rhymes ... lol.)

*fugly* looks lovely! Hope you don't get any grief from the landlord for changing it? Just off to that sidebar now :)) Kx

thanks to all!

kylie: won't run into any grief here as i got permission twice!! once speaking to the owner who 'dropped in' ~ he said yes to painting so long as i did a good job, with no streaks!! kept thinking of that and laughing while i worked on it.
