a work in progress

my dad used to cut our hair when we were kids and i used to hate it {and the wonky fringe}. and now i'm cutting my son's hair! he has the same tricky hair as me, the dreaded cowlick at the front which rules out a fringe and the funny swirly thing at the back which makes it stick up if it's too short.
he doesn't hate it anymore, which makes it fun. actually it's fun to learn new skills i think {there's a long way to go with this one}. this is after one sleep :)

I think it turned out pretty well. He looks ever so rugged in that lumberjack shirt! :)

I'm not sure if I should be ashamed to admit it or not, but I've been cutting my own hair for a while now. It's just a big curly mess so it's not like anyone can tell if I don't cut evenly :) And it saves me from having to go into a salon and feel inadequately girly...I'm a tomboy from way back.

Oh, and I listed my addictions. We should probably all be in therapy.
