creative space . fake light

today melbourne showed us winter and with the cold came the dark indoor spaces. i worked with fake light, which u can see in this picture of the view out the window above my desk. i always feel conspicous working with the light on and the blinds up as i know how easy it is for people to see in under these conditions!
thanks to photoshop's 'image~adjustments~shadows/highlights' feature my photos came out ok. i use this function quite a lot.

hope your wed/thursday has been a creative one. to see more creative spaces go to kootoyoo :)

Gorgeous work! I love the red and pink. I think winter is just around the corner for us isn't it. I had to take my photos twice today because I had no light this morning. At least it means warm fires and hot coffee.
Hope you are having a lovely week

It was very dark today, wasn't it? I'd hoped to get out into the fresh air with my camera, but it was too overcast... Anyways I love your beautiful soft colours and the white all around. Just perfect.

Love your work - and I always like seeing progress pictures, or pictures "in working phase" It's always so inspiring :)

I know what you mean about people seeing you at work. I've arranged my blinds in my studio so that I'm getting enough light but the one window that looks onto the road is mostly closed. I feel weird about people who have "real jobs" driving by and seeing me sitting at an easel...even though I know deep down that nobody cares :)

Every time I see your paint palette, I wish I could paint properly. I just love how you mix the colors & the colors blending in. I love mixing colors - I'm glad I can at least mix my own glazes! :)
